Try a traditional hands-on activity with a difference...

as students visit a nearby beach within Marmion Marine Park to build sandcastles of some of WA’s iconic marine species including fish, molluscs and crustaceans.

The sandcastles will be decorated with flotsam and jetsam and we will identify and discuss the importance of this sea life found washed up on the beach.

Working in groups, the students will help teach each other about these amazing marine creatures and at the same time encourage creativity and enhance students’ learning of science.
