A Time for Change… a Time for Action!

Most of us make a New Year's resolution each year, but how many of us actually go through with it? It's very easy to stick with what we know, even if it is considered to be a bad habit because it's generally a lot harder to make the change!

This year Seaweek (1-7 March 2009) is promoting A Climate for Change, Education and Action.

Seaweek is the Marine Education Society of Australia's major annual campaign to increase understanding and appreciation of the sea and its living organisms.

It is hoped this year's theme will be a timely reminder that this is a climate for change, and education and action is an important strategy in minimising our collective footprint, and making better use of our limited finite resources.

Making the change in your life towards minimising your footprint could be as simple as reducing energy use in your house by turning off your stereo (rather than leaving it on standby), minimising waste and recycling, or better still… both!

Make the change now and help towards a sustainable future.
